Whether you are a new or returning family at Central, you should know that we are an active PTA. In fact, not one day goes by at Central without PTA involvement in some capacity. We hope you’ll join us! It can be a little involvement or a lot. You can work from home or work at school. Your actions will speak volumes to your child about the importance you place on their education.

No matter what your situation or schedule may be, we have a job for you.

• For those parents that can only volunteer at school occasionally, here are events that you can help with:
Book fair
Picture day
Vision and hearing test
Field trips

• If you are interested in helping in your child’s classroom you could:
Assist the teacher with clerical duties
Be a guest reader
Work one-on-one with students to
improve their reading skills

• Some Volunteers help from home. These jobs can include:
Helping the teacher assemble Open Court reading books
Assisting with the Box Top for Education Program
Assisting with the Campbell Soup Label Program

• We have many events that need volunteers in the evenings. They are:
Story Teller/Math Night
Family Wellness Night
Movie Night
Ice Cream Social
Tiger Trot Auction and Pasta Dinner
PTA Membership drive
